Final batch of tickets for the Glastonbury festival 2013, which went on sale on Sunday morning 9 am onwards, were purchased in just over 60 minutes on Sunday. The Glastonbury 2013 organisers informed that the weekend camping tickets and coach packages were taken up in minutes as demand for the Glastonbury festival 2013 tickets far outnumbered the tickets available. Aficionados could reserve up to four tickets at a cost of £205 plus booking fees. The Glastonbury festival, listed to occur from June 28 to June 30, will consist of more than 190 acts, with Rolling Stones being accompanied by Arctic Monkeys and Mumford and Sons as headliners.

County star Kenny Rogers, Primal Scream, Elvis Costello among others will be the prominent performers at the Glastonbury festival. The Rolling Stones will perform on Saturday night for the initial time at the festival. Lead singer Mick Jagger has voiced to BBC that he would seek suggestions from U2 vocalist Bono over their impending Glastonbury festival 2013 rendition.

The Glastonbury 2013 will consist of new acts Rita Ora and Jake Bugg emerging on the main Pyramid Stage alongside festival veteran Billy Bragg and Rufus Wainwright. Mumford & Sons was recently in the news over the sale of tickets for their Summer Stampede Day Festival on July 6 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

The Glastonbury festival 2013’s Twitter feed apologised to those fans, who could not buy the tickets due to the overwhelming demand. Tickets for the Glastonbury festival 2013 cost £10 more than the previous festival. The festival organiser, Emily Eavis, requested the people to provide their feedbacks on the ticketing process, which has been disparaged in the past for not being able to tackle the swelling demand.

The Glastonbury festival 2013 will be convened in June at Worthy Farm. When tickets initially went on sale in October 2012 for Glastonbury 2013, they were snapped up in merely 1 hour and 40 minutes. Twitter was subsequently inundated by annoyed fans, who didn’t manage to get through to the booking site and the telephonic lines.
