A high turnover of player staff at the Emirates this summer

In no particular order here is the cream of today’s Premier League transfer dealings, as reported by the sports pages, we start with yesterday’s Community shield winners Manchester City and their latest acquisition.

After snapping up Everton’s Jack Rodwell for a cool £12m (fee varies depending on your choice of source) Roberto Mancini will refuse to leave Merseyside until he returns with Daniel Agger, 27, after which he will kick Swansea while they’re down and grab forward Scott Sinclair, 23.

City could look to ship out Kolo Toure on the quick after his outburst at manager Mancini yesterday, he was apparently furious about being an unused substitute and threw away his Community Shield medal.

Arsenal are back in the headlines and this time it’s Ryo Miyaichi causing a stir, he’s off to a season-long loan to Wigan, to replace Victor Moses who may be Chelsea bound if the price is right.

The Gunners may have lost out to Tottenham in the race for Rennes midfield warhorse Yann M’Villa, however Wenger’s army will be rejoicing regardless as AC Milan have agreed to sign Niklas Bendtner with France defender Phillip Mexes going in the other direction.

Newcastle look set to land Ajax’s Dutch international Vurnon Anita, 23, for £6m, meanwhile they continue to track Mathieu Debuchy, 27, who has issued the Toon Army with a come-and-get-me plea, insisting he is ready to move on from life at Lille.

Back tomorrow with more latest transfer news and rumours.
