Kate Middleton braves it all up with composure

Topless became a forced surname for her, as Kate Middleton continues to bravely battle her way out of the muddle that she has been thrown into, as nude pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge were splashed in three different magazines over the past week creating an international sensation over the Royals’ breached privacy.

The French (Closer magazine) and Italian paparazzi (Chi magazine) made a shameless display of Kate Middleton’s nude pictures in their publications, while dismissing her stature in the world as the wife of Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, the future Queen, and the bearer of British legacy.

The unfortunate row began when the royal couple had been holidaying in France at the French Chateau of the Queen’s nephew, Lord Linley, ahead of their Diamond Jubilee tour of south-east Asia and the South Pacific on behalf of the Queen.

September 14: Four-page blurry images of a naked Kate Middleton sunbathing with her husband Prince William were published by French magazine Closer. Audaciously, Closer’s website carried the explicit images, with the cover page featuring a blurry image of a bikini-clad Kate Middleton, about to remove her top. The Closer magazine’s UK edition, meanwhile, pledged not to publish the images, declaring itself independent of its French counterpart.

September 17: Kate Middleton’s nude pictures row reignited ugly memories of the past for Prince William, who has nurtured a grudge against paparazzi for chasing his mother Princess Diana down in the same fashion, until her untimely death in 1977.

Replicating the anger he felt when he saw his mother being hounded by paparazzi, William moved to court and pressed for damages and injunction against Closer to stop further publication of photos, three days after Kate Middleton’s naked pictures were published in Closer. continue reading
