A gang of youngsters, who thieved tablets and mobile phones worth £150,000 by ‘steaming’ high street stores, have been imprisoned. The jailed youngsters, aged 15 to 22-years-old, raided 42 Carphone Warehouse outlets in London and surrounding zones over a period of six months in 2012.

The list of Carphone Warehouse robbery convicts include 22-year-old Jahreau Shepherd and 21-year-old Ugo Wilson, who were sentenced to four years and 27 months in prison respectively. 18-year-old Perry Hedges was given a punishment of 26 months’ imprisonment in a young offenders’ institution.

18-year-old Emmanuel Kakala was provided with a suspended 18-month jail sentence and commanded to perform 80 hours of community service. 20-year-old Samuel Warnes was slapped by a suspended 1 year prison term and one year’s supervision. Three other boys, aged 15, 16 and 17, were sentenced to detention and training for 10, 18 and 12 months respectively.
