The new ITV1 show on Jimmy Savile is to focus on his time as manager of Leeds’ Mecca Locarno dance hall

‘Exposure: The Other Side of Jimmy Savile’, the ITV documentary on the Late BBC DJ telecast in October, is to be followed by another documentary on Wednesday evening on ITV1, which is likely to focus on Jimmy Savile’s early years as an entertainer in Leeds.

The October ITV documentary on Jimmy Savile concentrated on allegations that Jimmy Savile sexually maltreated schoolgirls in the 1960s and 1970s. The October documentary was watched by millions of Britons, who were dismayed by the obscene allegations against Jimmy Savile, who was knighted in his lifetime.

Both the TV documentaries have been prepared by ex-police detective, Mark Williams-Thomas. The impending documentary is expected to concentrate even more extensively on the Late BBC presenter’s alleged acts of sexual abuse.

Thus, there could be a renewed police and public concentration on Jimmy Savile’s time as manager of Leeds’ Mecca Locarno dance hall in the 1950s.

Mark Williams-Thomas is believed to have implemented some filming in Yorkshire for the upcoming documentary. One of the ex-doormen of Mecca Locarno dance hall has asserted that Jimmy Savile paid off families to prevent them from launching criminal complaints against him of molesting girls.

Mark Williams-Thomas has said the first ITV Savile documentary focused on a relatively short timescale. With the second ITV1 Jimmy Savile documentary on Wednesday, Williams-Thomas claimed that the viewers could see that Savile’s offending behaviour lasted four decades and victimised hundreds of people.

The imminent Jimmy Savile documentary will also analyse the police investigation into the Jimmy Savile scandal since October.

Meanwhile, as per media reports, a retired 68-year-old firefighter, Bernard Dean, had written in October to the then BBC Director-General, George Entwistle. The firefighter wrote that Jimmy Savile had groped his wife, Audrey Dean, in 1984, after filming for the Jim’ll Fix It show ended.

Bernard claimed that BBC bosses had threatened then to remove the Jim’ll Fix It badge from his son, Mark, if Bernard pursued his complaint further. Mark would be edited out of the show, warned BBC officials. Bernard didn’t pursue the complaint then as he didn’t want to disappoint his excited 4-year-old son.

While i believe most of these accusations to be true, there would be some fake ones among them as well. It’s shocking that one man, no matter how unstable he may be, can plan such a large-scale assault over number of years.

Rich men and their vicarious pleasures! Sad that he died before all the dirt emerged.

  3. Ryan says:

Crime fascinates everyone and that’s why Jimmy Savile has hooked the whole of Britain. It’s something really shocking and unpalatable.

  4. Mary says:

One documentary was enough to anger the public and cause enough distress.

  5. Paul says:

The lecherous pleasure that people get out of reading such things is what anyone will get out of this Mr. Jake.

  6. Jake says:

How will you punish this guy? bring him out of grave? What will anyone get from bringing to light all these gruesome assaults?

  7. Wilson says:

Its amazing how much of filth went unnoticed in the times which would have mattered.

Savile’s perversion dates back at least to the 1950′s. This clearly shows the need to get accused pedophiles like Sylvain Kustyan, off the streets ASAP. Kustyan has been formally charged with two counts each of 1st Degree Sodomy and 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a ten-year-old little boy. As a teacher, this French native has taken numerous groups of school children on trips to England, Ireland and the US. Unfortunately, Kustyan is now on the lam and is currently a fugitive from the law.ns1y
