Police officers are suspecting an arsonist’s involvement in the Cwmbran house fire

Cwmbran in southeastern Wales witnessed a tragedy on Tuesday as a house fire led to two adults and a toddler being killed. Firefighters arrived at the site of the flame early on Tuesday, shortly after which the three corpses were located inside the house.

A 27-year-old man has been detained by the police on the suspicion of arson subsequent to the blaze at the house in Tillsland, Coed Eva. Police officers have inquired in different houses and have requested more data from the public as regards this horrific case.

The upper floor of the two-storey building has been charred. Windows have been burnt out and destruction from the smoke has risen to the roof.

Cwmbran is a small area where inhabitants know each other well. The residents of the area were awakened by the lights from the emergency service cars.

The police has isolated the affected area and are scheduled to launch forensic investigations soon. The 27-year-old man, who is in police detention, is suspected of carrying out arson with the goal of jeopardising human life and property.

A spokesperson of the Gwent police has verified that the three deceased persons are an infant and two adults.

Four fire engines and a water bowser were despatched to the two-storey building after the blaze was reported. South Wales Fire and Rescue Service has remarked that the concerned house was considerably aflame when the crew landed at the spot. The firefighters have referred to the house fire as a serious one.
