Extent of protection against child abuse across the UK has hit an abysmal low, almost to the tipping point where even girls aged 11 or below reportedly face sexual abuse in every ‘town, village and hamlet’ of the country, a government expert yesterday warned the MPs. Mansfield rape: Teenager found guilty

Joseph Moran, 19, has been found guilty, by a jury at Nottingham Crown court, of raping a woman on December 9 last year. The woman went out with some of her friends for an early Christmas celebration. As she boarded a bus she had 20 pence short of the £5 fare to Mansfield.
