Blaque rapper Natina Reed died in a freak car accident last Friday

In a tragic twist of fate, Natina Reed, Blaque rapper, died when a car struck her late Friday night while she was standing in a roadway just north of Lilburn in Georgia. Natina Reed was pronounced dead just two days before her 33rd birthday, at Gwinnett Medical Center in Georgia, US.

The police were notified about the accident through a call from an unidentified driver of the car. The driver of the vehicle has not been charged with anything yet, as it is suspected the accident couldn’t have been avoided. The passenger in the car had given her a CPR before Natina Reed was rushed to the hospital. Tributes poured in on Twitter when news of Natina Reed’s death broke out.

Natina Reed’s colleague and Blaque member Shamari Fears-DeVoe tweeted on Saturday, “My world as I know it has forever changed. Until we meet again, may you find comfort in the arms of an angel. I love you Natina.”

Blaque member Brandi Williams tweeted, “Last night the world was changed forever, life will never be the same…she was my sister.”

Jointly, Shamri Fears-DeVoe and Brandi Williams remembered Natina Reed for “her undeniable creativity” that “touched the hearts of fans everywhere. Natina was a mother, sister, accomplished songwriter, artist and friend.”

Brandi Williams and Shamri Fears-DeVoe said the tragic news of Natina Reed dead comes just when the band was regrouping to record a new album and a reality show.

Natina Reed leaves behind a 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, from her relationship with the rapper Kurupt, along with a legacy in music which will be remembered forever.
